Shane Black is directing, so I got hopes for this one.

I'm not very optimistic for this, given the general mediocrity of the Marvel Studios films in general and the fact that Iron Man 2 was just a 2 hour trailer for Avengers(which was itself just a trailer for Avengers 2 through 10). The new director might improve things possibly, but Marvel seems to like preventing their directors from anything too interesting to maintain the brand or whatever the heck they think they're doing.

You're mistaking Disney for Warner Brothers, friend. Only terrible Marvel film in the Cinematic Universe is Iron Man 2 and parts of Captain America. Plus, GotG and Thor soon, then Phase 3 and Ant-Man / Doctor Strange goodness. |
