Hello everone!
The mechanics for this game are heavily inspired from Neclos Fortress.
Luchador move throughout a board layout populated by monster cards. Each monster has a minimum roll required to defeat them. These of course vary depending on how powerful the monster is, here are some sample suggestions:
Hawk: 3 Yeti: 5 Morpheus: 7 Metal Donald: 8 Enemigo: 10
(These are my ideas, but we can argue about how powerful everyone would be.)
You may notice some of those can't be beaten with a single roll of a six sided die! But don't worry. Each enemy has an item card they give you when you beat them. Some of these power you up for a single battle, while others weaken a specific enemy, lowering the necessary roll to beat them.
Also beating a certain number of enemies will cause your luchador to level up, adding +1 to your roll.
One thing I'm not sure about is I think there should be "Chance" cards, to help symbolize all the random bullshit that occurs in Luchaverse. But what would trigger drawing a Chance card?
Looking forward to hearing any feedback!

Hmm, I haven't played Necros fortress, but the mechanics remind me of the old board game 'Dark World', but with a more random element. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/31/dark-worldIt might be fun to put together some cards.

Neclos used different classes that would affect what roll you needed for a given monster.
Like a Zombie might require a 3 for most characters, but a 4 for the Elf (who usually sucked at slimy/undead monsters.)
The Mercenary was good against animal/beast types, but bad against anything vaguely female (Sirens, Medusa, etc.)
Each character also began with a unique item to help them out.

Maybe some kinda of multi player parties. I guess you have to have more monsters in order to not brake the game. Just an idea.

What's the whole point of lucha? Wrestling with other luchadores. So there has to be some sort of PVP mechanics (shouldn't be too hard)

Oh, that's interesting. I rather like that mechanic; it's simple, but adds a lot of strategy. Actually, it reminds me of another old board game; Tower of the Wizard King: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2362/tower-of-the-wizard-king(Now I'm starting to feel old.) I suppose Jack would be strong against dinosaurs and weak against...zombies?

Tower of the Wizard King has a fun transformation mechanic!
Regarding PVP, I think it should just be "whoever gets the highest roll," with ties resulting in nothing happening. The loser must give an item to the winner, and if the loser has no items they give up their mask (game over.)
Perhaps the random event trigger could be an Everone TV?
