Yeah I guess there's also the dinky ones Godzilla Jr and Little Godzilla, which is like $50 for a thing just taller than a GI joe. I know it's barely justifiable when all toys are luxury goods but it doesn't feel better!

SH was a carryover from when SH Figuarts (original line) was actually supposed to be an upgrade of a Kamen Rider line called Souchaku Henshin.
On the box of the SH Figuarts Kamen Rider #1 I have it says Simple style and Heroic action, so there's also that.

Not technically related but I'm so tempted to get this NECA ED-209 to pose with Godzilla and friends.  I think it would look great as an anti-kaiju mech, and it'd be just about the right size. |

It's really not that complicated.
The big wing has many joints, but it plugs into the "back wing muscle" with a big fat balljoint it appears (with a little ringular cover sort of like godzilla's neck), so it won't snap.
The small wing is just another balljoint on the wing muscle piece.
