Item#: SCP-2198
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2198 is to be kept in a foam padded cell that is about 10 feet from front to back and about 8 feet wide. Only one security camera is necessary. SCP-2198's cell is reminiscent of a cell that is typically found in a psychiatric hospital. SCP-2198's cell is known by the Foundation to contain a bookcase, a chemistry lab, a king-sized bed, a bath made out of foam and a computer with a collection of floppy disks either created by major companies, the Foundation or by SCP-2198.
A jar or bucket of worms and other insects must be fed to SCP-2198. These insects include:
Maggots
Various parasites
A specific species of spiders
Worms that come from a specific farm near , England
A centipede
Items related to SCP-2198's nature are required to be placed in Secure Storage Vault 19. Access to SCP-2198 itself is with permission of both a Level 1 and Level 2 staff member.
??/??/2010 - SCP-2198 requested all personnel to write a biography about its life as an explorer. All personnel denied this request.
Description: SCP-2198 is at first reminiscent of members of the genus Rattus, but the Foundation has found no relation between SCP-2198 and the common members of genus Rattus. SCP-2198's height is measured to be the average height of an infant and its weight has been proven by personnel to be 250 pounds, heavier than a sandstone boulder.
SCP-2198 is sapient and capable of communication with individuals within approximately 20 meters. It identifies itself as "Sir Matthew Roberts the II", a British scientist and researcher. Even though no records of such person exists, SCP-2198 has repeatedly denied proof against its existence.
It also has the ability to create anomalous creatures and other materials. They will either be given to SCP-2198 or they will be requested to store in Secure Storage Vault 19.
Among these materials, SCP-2198 has been able to create three living creatures made out worms and living flesh. Due to these objects' violent nature, the Foundation has given these objects the classification of SCP-2198-1. SCP-2198-1 will try everything they can to kill and [DATA EXPLUNGED] all personnel. Their appearance can be easily identified when looking at their tumorous flesh and faulty eyes.
SCP-2198-1 have a limited amount of vision, causing them to lose track of their victim. They also have the ability to transmit viruses and diseases like the original Black Death and the Ebola virus. When asked about their nature, SCP-2198 stated that its mind "does not know where they came from."
SCP-2198 has also created a large booklet of information about the Foundation. However, we have denied access to this booklet by the public. If accessing SCP-2198's cell without permission, the subject who has committed this violation will be moved to Site ?? by request from staff.
Addendum-01: A list of materials created by SCP-2198. These include:
A book made out of skin
An artificial slug
3 unknown species of insects
A teleportation potion labelled, "WARNING: EXPERIMENTAL POTION. HANDLE WITH CARE."
A painting of a male that SCP-2198 claims to be itself. The male does not match any description of a normal human being. Subject has an extra-ordinarily large chemistry lab.
5 floppy disks programmed by SCP-2198. 2 of them contain anomalous viruses and programs. 3 of them contain video games that were programmed by itself.
A indescribable photo of a man with an umbrella walking down a toad.
Addendum-02: Interview log between SCP-2198 and Dr. ??. Dated ??/??/2011:
SCP-2198: Hello good sir! Got any questions for me today?
Dr. ??: Yes sir, I do. You see, none of your stories have any actual proof of your achievements. What do you think about this claim?
SCP-2198: Nonsense! I have traveled more countries than you and your foundation have! I traveled through the Crystal Island, hunting all the snakes that lived there, made a chemistry lab and invented the light bulb!
Dr. ??: Listen, there is no actual place called Crystal Island and there's no proof of it on the map!
SCP-2198: Excuse me? I believe your map is inaccurate. I remember France being called The Republic of Titanium and Spain being called The Land of The Rebels.
Dr. ??: I do not think you realize that you are a rat.
SCP-2198: How rude! I am as human as anyone can be! I will not tolerate your rudeness in my own special room, now get out! This interview is over.
