Now you see me is a turd. Yeah I saw it recently and I agree. The plot is borderline nonsensical and the amount of suspension of disbelief they expect you to have is the only "suspense" present in the film. However, I don't consider it the worst film I've seen this year; that dubious honor still goes to The Great Gatsby. |

I watched 3 moives on the plane.
Jack the Giant Slayer reminded me of Attack on Titan. That's about it really.
The Last Stand is just about what I expected of an old-man Arnie vehicle. Seeing it as a censored airplane version made it terrible though.
Beautiful Creatures, well, it's better than Twiight at least.

SIDE EFFECTS: Remember how Dodo was all " HANZEL AND GRETEL IS MISOGYNIST BLAH BLAH IM A TUMBLR FAGGOT SOCIAL JUSTICE!" yeah, this is that movie. The amount of Hatred for women this movie is STAGGERING, and it takes jude laws perfect analytical skills and unbreakable ethics to solve the movie, oh except he indulges in activities so shady and illegal the only way the movie could have ended is if he went to jail for being an unethical prick, but he doesnt because JUSTICE! ...... Not a terrible movie though, just pretend its like, republicans instead of women.

Basket case 2, welp I can add deformed formaly conjoined twin puppet sex tot the list of thing I have seen in muy life.  Also these guys realy make this movie less mediocre and some of them do get a few lines of dialog and i wish they got more because there so cool and you feel bad for them. |

i saw hansel and gretel! fun fun fun fun movie. stupid as fuck, but like, i dunno, its just charming. its also not even close to misogynist, they actually dedicate a scene to them saving an innocent woman.

On the plane ride back I saw The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. It's your typical Steve Carrell vehicle I guess. Tons of immature humor, which I thrive on obviously. It stayed pretty faithful to actual magic acts. As a movie that could inspire interest in magic tricks it hit the spot for me.
Some time after watching that I got gastroenteritis and decided to watch the shittiest thing I could pick out from the list to distract myself from the pain while simultaneously not being worried about having to miss any due to shit and vomit.
It was The Host. Sure, it has parasites!1!1 but that's about it. Most of the movie features the female lead whining at her own parasite. A lot of the movie is dull overall in tone and character. As a boring, unappealing movie it didn't disappoint.

da official alien wiki has a big long argument about whether it should be present there at all, notes that it isnt canon but attempts to fit it into continuity anyway and calls the creature a xenomorph even tho it isn't one at all. wiki fans, folks

I saw Pacific Rim and it was pretty good.
It was entertaining and pretty much exactly what I expected. I wanted giant robots fighting kaiju and I fuckin got it.

Pasfic rim is fun and enjoyable but only when the kaiju or ron peralmen is on srceen. Theres a lot of shurg worthy dialog and bits 0f toho level wackeyness that i cant explain without spoilers. Its like hellboy fun and enjoyable but with some problems 8.9/10
