Halloween was called Samhain originally. Halloween as we know it was based off of it, a day where people celebrated the harvest, and went souling for food, and left prayers to the people who gave food to the poor. People wore masks to confuse the malicious spirits of the underworld. It originated with the worshipers of the Celtic deities, then passed to the Druids, and it was Christianized when people were converted.

Samhain is now considered a fun holiday to gather treats and dress up for fun. I, however, keep with the Old Traditions and honor my ancestors with offerings of food and pray to my deities for their happiness in the afterlife.

Halloween is European, dipshit. Therefore its a “whitey” holiday.

The Day of the Dead - what you celebrate - came from the Catholic All Souls Day, just fused with folk traditions from Mexico.

Please look at your information before you complain. I sincerely hope this blog is a joke, and if it isn’t, well, there goes a little more faith in humanity.
