Some have said that Godzilla vs Hedorah draws elements from 70s exploitation films, and you can definitely see that it some of the scenes, notably the famous club sequence.
I personally think the film is one of the more memorable in the series.

I conisder it porably the most visualy interesting in the series. Form what I understand the the song save the earth it was an attemp by toho to reach teenagers that may have gorwn up with godzilla. Banno definalty wanted to send a message with the movie. Fun fact the suit actor that played headorah had surgery in the middle of the porduction and was on pian pills for the rest of the movies pordcution.
