found this really strange stop-motion short by the Brothers Quay. according to wikipedia, it was the pilot for a proposed series based on the Epic of Gilgamesh that would "combine puppet animation, dance sequences, and live-action documentary elements".

this is really cool, soviet animation of peruvian legends. theyve basically just animated the actual art style used on pottery, and the sound track is really psychedelic.
